Hi, I'm Kaylene! Photography has been a hobby of mine since I was a kid, but my professional journey began shortly after the birth of my first baby. Every moment felt so precious, yet so fleeting, and I realized how much I wanted to artistically capture the beauty and wonder of our growing family. This passion for preserving the magic in everyday moments is what drives my work as a photographer.
I deeply understand how joyful and bittersweet it is to watch your children grow. Photography gives us a chance to pause time, if only for a moment, and relive the beauty of each chapter. That’s what I hope to offer families through my work - the opportunity to revisit and cherish their story throughout the years.
My career began in birth photography and doula work, where I eventually added videography to my services. While I cherished being part of such intimate moments, the demands of being on-call 24/7 became difficult to manage while raising my own young children. So I shifted my focus to family, maternity, and newborn photography, and I found myself falling in love with this type of storytelling too.
Outside of photography, I love spending time with my own family. We’re big fans of movies, books, and video games, often getting lost together in magical worlds and adventures. When we’re not indoors escaping the Arizona heat, we love traveling and exploring nature.
I come from a neurodiverse family, with ADHD and autism playing a role in our daily lives. I understand firsthand the challenges of getting kids, especially those with special needs, in front of the camera and I fully believe in respecting their autonomy. I can assure you there is no pressure - if smiling or looking at the camera is something that stresses your child out, they simply don't have to. My goal is to document your family authentically, exactly as you are, embracing the uniqueness of it all.
